If a scanned PDF page must be uploaded to a system that accepts only images, convert that page to JPG. If the system accepts PDFs, splitting the page as a PDF may preserve document structure better.

PDF to JPG uses temporary server processing because reliable PDF rendering can be resource intensive and inconsistent across browsers. The server renders selected pages, verifies safe output, and packages multiple images into a ZIP when needed.

Do not render every page when only one or two are needed. More pages mean larger downloads, more processing, and more images to review.

Do not set DPI higher than the task requires. Very high resolution can make output bulky without improving readability for ordinary previews.

Do not confuse image conversion with text extraction. A JPG is a picture of the page. It is useful for visual sharing, but it is not an editable document.

Do not overlook ZIP output. If you select several pages, the download is packaged so the images stay together. Open the ZIP and check the page-numbered files before forwarding them, especially when a recipient expects one specific page.

Do not use PDF to JPG when the recipient needs searchable text, form fields, or a normal PDF attachment. Rendering is best for visual previews, thumbnails, documentation screenshots, and systems that specifically ask for image uploads. When in doubt, keep a PDF copy too so you can still provide the document format if the image version is not accepted later.
