General and free usage
Is FreePDFHelp free? Yes, current consumer tools are free to use with reasonable limits that help keep the service reliable.
Do I need an account? No account is required for current tools.
Are there paid plans? No paid consumer plan is part of the current public product.
How is FreePDFHelp funded? The planned model is advertising-supported with optional affiliate links where disclosed.
File privacy and previews
Are my files uploaded? Browser-local tools do not upload files for processing. Server tools upload files temporarily.
Are previews uploaded? Input previews are generated locally in your browser whenever possible.
Which tools work entirely in my browser? Merge PDF, Split PDF, Rotate PDF, Delete PDF pages, and JPG to PDF.
Why is preview limited for a large file? Preview limits protect browser memory, but processing may still work.
Server processing and deletion
How long are server files stored? Completed server jobs are retained for 60 minutes by default.
Can I delete a file immediately? Server jobs include a delete-now control.
Can password-protected PDFs be processed? Password-protected or encrypted PDFs are generally rejected.
Quality and results
Does FreePDFHelp add watermarks? Current tools do not add watermarks.
Why did my PDF not compress much? Some PDFs are already optimized or cannot shrink safely.
Why does PDF to JPG create a ZIP? Multiple rendered pages are packaged as a ZIP so they download together.
Browsers, mobile, ads, and affiliate links
Can I use the tools on mobile? Modern mobile browsers are supported where memory allows.
Which browsers are supported? Current tools target modern Chromium, Firefox, and Safari-family browsers with File, Blob, Canvas, and Worker support.
Will ads affect tool results? No. Ad code must not affect processing or download results.
